Friendship Bracelets
Hello Everyone,
For the past few weeks, I have been making friendship bracelets non-stop. I have branched out. I started of course with Taylor themed ones. But after a while, that gets repetitive. I saw a video of a person who creates themed outfits everytime they see a show. I loved this idea, however could not see myself actually doing it. Thinking back to the little beaded bracelets that seem to be appearing in every theater, I had my idea. I would start by making friendship bracelets for every musical I see.
In case you are curious, I use 6/0 glass Czech beads on a clear string to make by bracelets. I use white circular beads with black letters to write out words. In my opinion, this looks like the classiest you can get with homemade friendship bracelets.
I had the idea to go back, make ones for shows like Dear Evan Hansen, and Come From Away. However, those were not exciting to me at this moment. Instead, I buried myself in the shows I want to see. For example, I make two Great Gatsby bracelets. The first was inspired by the book cover, featuring dark blue, red and yellow. The second followed the musical more, having more green and gold beads. Now, since I have not seen the show, it is a little harder.
I also made a huge collection of Outsiders bracelets (I know I said I would not talk about it again, but here we are). I made a bunch of Great Expectations, Tulsa 67, and Stay Gold designs. The Great Expectations ones have to be my favorite. I decided to stick with what I could find of the book cover, most being teal and gold. They turned out really nice. Now, in my fantasy, I would be able to go again, and hand these out to other people in the theater (and maybe a cast member or two). This is my unattainable dream. However, it gives me something to work towards.
Another bracelet idea I had was Taylor Swift related. I was thinking about the endless array of eras tour outfits. I started to think, how fun would it be to make bracelets inspired by each one. These would not have any words on them, making them totally different from my other ones. Think a plain black and red one for reputation. Or a gold and blue one to represent the gold and blue lover bodysuit. This idea excites me so much. I always like to say, if I had an unlimited bead budget, the things I could do would be insane.
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this post. I love making these types of bracelets. I cannot wait for Tony Nominations to be announced. Lately, I have been trying to keep up with new shows, and new actors. I saw three shows that are in the running, and can not wait to watch later in May. Maybe I will make a post about it. We will see. Anyway, if you enjoyed this post, please comment, and let me know!
Do an update of what you did with your Outsiders bracelets!!!!
